Description: Since 1987, the Jack Webster Awards have recognized excellence in British Columbia Journalism.
The awards recognize excellence in categories including: Best News Reporting (one each for TV, Radio & Print); Best Feature (one each for TV, Radio & Print); Community Reporting; Commentary; Science/Technology; Business/Industry/Economics; Legal Reporting; Chinese Language
Further Details: JWF Poynter Institute Fellowships professional development fellowships are available to BC journalists to the Poynter institute in Florida. Applications accepted from January to February 15.
JWF Standard Broadcasting Fellowships funds are available to BC broadcast journalists for research-based or knowledge-based fellowships.
Seeing the World Through New Eyes BC journalists who are up to age 30 or in their first 5 years of a journalism career may apply for a JWF CIDA-funded fellowship fpr their first opportunity to report from a developing country
