Alcuin Society Citations for Excellence in Book Design in Canada Deadline: March, annually.
March 28th 2014 was the deadline for 2013 awards.
Eligibility: Books published in Canada during the previous calendar year are eligible for submission. Canadian editions, co-editions and simultaneous editions are eligible if designed and published in Canada in their entirety. Entries from experienced book designers and design students are welcome.
Value: Alcuin Society Citation Certificate. Winning books are exhibited at various locations in Canada and throughout the world.

Description: The Alcuin Society Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada is the only national competition for book design in the country. In 2014 there were 37 winning titles from eight categories: children, limited editions, pictorial, poetry, prose fiction, prose non-fiction, prose non-fiction illustrated and reference.
Further Details: A fee of $35 for non-members and $30 for Alcuin Society members per entry was required for 2013 awards submissions.
