Canadian Authors Association Children's Short Story Award Deadline: December 31, annually
Eligibility: Open to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. For the author of a short story for children, in English, published in a periodical, anthology or collection in the year prior to the award year: for example, for the 2002 award, in 2001. Publication may be outside Canada.
Value: $2,500 and a certificate

Further Details: Official entry form is required, with four copies of both the story and a biography of the author. Awards are presented at a Literary Awards Banquet which concludes the CAA's annual conference in July each year. The banquet is preceded by a reading supported by the Canada Council of the Arts.
