The CWC Annual Awards recognize leadership and support of the advancement of women in the communications industry:
CWC Annual Awards-- The CWC Annual Awards were created to recognize leadership and support of the advancement of women in the converging sectors of the communications industry. There are 5 CWC awards: Woman of the Year Award; Trailblazer Award; Mentor Award; Employer of the Year; Chapter Volunteer of the Year.
CWC/Government of Canada Jeanne Sauvé Professional Developement Program-- Advancing women through unique professional development opportunities and multi-week exchange placements with Industry Canada, Heritage Canada and the CRTC.
Astral Media/CWC Executive Management Scholarship for Women-- Financed by Astral Media, this award is designed to advance more women into CEO positions and build stronger organizations. This scholarship sends one CWC member to the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto to attend The Judy Project.
CWC/Global Television Network Management Development Award-- This award is presented annually to one CWC member giving them the opportunity to attend the National Association of Broadcasters' Management Development Seminar at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois. The object of the award is to recognize the achievements of women executives in broadcasting and introduce them to the newest trends in management, business analysis, planning and execution.
