Pulitzer Prizes Deadline: Journalism: February 1, annually; Books: July 1, annually for books published between January 1 and June 30; and November 1, annually for books published between July 1 and December 31.
Eligibility: Distinguished work in 14 categories that appeared in the preceding calendar year in a U.S. newspaper published at least weekly. Books published in the U.S. Also awards for drama and music. Contact the Pulitzer Prize Office for more information and entry form.
Value: $7,500 (US) in each category, except for meritorious public service journalism, which receives a gold medal.
