Canadian Nurses' Association Media Awards for Excellence in Health Care Reporting Deadline: January 2003
Eligibility: Staff and freelance reporters employed by Canadian newspapers, magazines, writer services, online news sites, television and radio outlets are invited to submit reports in 12 categories. Categories are also open to still news photographers, and students from accredited journalism schools. Awards recognize excellence in health reporting for works published or broadcast during the previous calendar year.
Value: Award of Excellence/Trophy/Award of Merit Certificate (discretionary).

Description: Since 1986, the Canadian Nurses' Association Media Awards have recognized media reports that foster a greater public understanding of the Canadian health care system. Media reports that inform and educate Canadians about health, the role of health organizations and the work of health care professionals are acknowledged.
Further Details: Submission forms are available online. Entries are assessed by a five-member, independent panel based on information value, originality, insight, critical analysis, impact and technical quality.
