To submit a news release, use this form. ![]() IFIC Announces New Chair and Board AppointmentsJanuary 15, 2014Toronto, ON January 15, 2014 The board of directors of The Investment Funds Institute of Canada is pleased to announce that Brian Peters (president & CEO, MD Physician Services Inc.) was elected chair of IFICs board, and Sian Burgess (senior vice president, fund oversight, Fidelity Investments) was elected first vice-chair, effective November 20, 2013. John Adams (CEO, PFSL Investments Ltd.) was elected second vice-chair.I am pleased to be assuming this role at a time of transformational change in the investment funds industry, Mr. Peters stated. The industry is working diligently to deliver improvements to investor statements that will provide Canadian investors with easy to understand information about their investment funds, account fees and performance. When fully implemented, these changes will transform the advisor-investor relationship and result in better-informed investors. Also appointed to the board in November were Jordy Chilcott (managing director & head, Scotiabank Global Asset ManagementRetail and president & CEO of Dynamic Funds) and Chris Enright (president and managing director, Aligned Capital Partners Inc.). The board extends its thanks to outgoing chair Glen Gowland for his excellent leadership over the past year.
