Women Building Connections Gala Dinner, May 14, 2015
Kim Phuc, tells an inspiring story of courage and forgiveness unlike any other. Once an iconic child symbol of war, she is now an honorary VOW board member and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for the Culture of Peace.
VOW'S youngest member, 16 year old photographer/filmmaker Kasha Slavner says “VOW gives me an opportunity to connect with amazing women who are so committed to creating a peaceful planet. It is their stories that motivated me to create the Global Sunrise Project.”
For 55 years, VOW has advocated tirelessly for a world without war. We encourage women to exercise responsibility for the promotion of world peace and justice. Through education, taking part in the democratic process of decision making, and cooperating with women throughout the world to create the mutual respect and understanding necessary for the peaceful resolution of international conflict.
