Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples The Commission will investigate the evolution of the relationship among Aboriginal peoples, the Canadian government and Canadian society as a whole. The Commission will propose specific solutions to the problems which have plagued that relationship and which confront Aboriginal peoples today. Those solutions will be based on developing a new relationship between Canada's Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples, a relationship based on trust, understanding and mutual respect.
