Schizophrenia Society of Canada / Société canadienne de schizophrénie
Founded in 1979, the Schizophrenia Society of Canada (SCC) is a national registered charity with the mission "to alleviate the suffering caused by schizophrenia and related mental disorders." We work with 10 provincial societies and their over 100 chapters and branches to help people suffering from schizophrenia and their families have a better quality of life, while we search for a cure. Some of our initiatives include advocacy, public awareness/education, family support and research.
