Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) / Diversification de l'économie de l'ouest de Canada (DEO) WD has main offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Ottawa. Its mandate is to promote the development and the economic diversification of Western Canada and to advance the interests of the West in national economic policy. WD services include helping small and medium size enterprises (SME) access capital in Western Canada, providing business information and advising on SME start-ups, expansions and exporting. WD's Western Canada Business Service network has over 100 points of service: 90 Community Futures Development Corporations, 4 Women's Enterprise Initiative offices, 4 Canada Business Service Centres, and WD offices.
