Association of Municipalities of Ontario The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is a non-profit organization representing approximately 700 of Ontario's 815 municipalities. Through its research, policy development and government consultation programs AMO plays a significant role in the development of provincial and federal policies affecting municipalities, and is the recognized municipal voice on local government issues in Ontario.
