Dairy Farmers of Ontario
Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) is a dairy farmer organization representing approximately 6,500 licensed dairy farms (supporting some 13,000 farm families in Ontario) and is totally financed by them. DFO operates similar to a marketing co-operative under provincial legislation and is responsible for buying all milk sold off farms and selling it to processing plants.
