10th Annual Niagara Icewine Festival
to be Largest Ever

Date -- December 9, 2004

(Niagara, Ontario) - The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival is pleased to announce the 10th annual Niagara Icewine Festival January 14 - 23, 2005, with some new and expanded events as well as some internationally
acclaimed favourites.

The festivities begin on Friday, January 14th from 8 pm to 11 pm with the annual Xerox 'Images of Winter' Icewine Evening, a formal Gala situated in the Penthouse Dining Room of the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Over 35 Ontario wineries will be on hand pouring over 120 of their award winning Icewines, making it Canada's largest public Icewine tasting ever. Placed conspicuously between the wineries, a dozen food stations offer the finest in Canadian cuisine. With the breathtaking view of the partially frozen Niagara Falls as its backdrop, its no wonder these $150 Cdn. tickets are a Holiday favourite.

The highly successful Chubb Insurance 'Tastes of Ontario' Icewine Dinner returns for a third year. This intimate and exclusive evening will take place on Friday, January 21 from 7 pm to 10 pm when the Tiara Dining Room of the Queen's Landing Inn and Conference Resort in Niagara-on-the-Lake is closed especially for this event. The ambience is matched only by the menu and the wines being poured, as a panel of oenological and culinary experts will guide the guests through all seven courses. This $175 Cdn. per person
dining experience is one that can only happen in one of North America's premier wine regions.

The Niagara Icewine Bar, a 20 foot long, 7000 lb. block of ice carved with ornate scenes of Canadiana will be the cornerstone of the Festival's outdoor activities for both weekends. On Saturday and Sunday, January 15 and 16, look for the Icewine Bar in the middle of Main Street in Jordan. New this year, join us for the Chubb Insurance Icewine Caf‚ on Saturday and Sunday, January 22 and 23, as a portion of Queen Street in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake will be closed to allow twenty Ontario wineries to pour their Icewines from behind the Ice Bar. Entertainment, cuisine and hospitality are available at this free admission event.

And don't forget Niagara's famous wine route as the wineries of the region prepare to welcome visitors from around the globe for an expanded 9 days of tours, tastings, seminars, sampling, food pairings, special luncheons, dinners, Ice Sculpture competitions and a few surprises, all centered around the Icewine theme. A Chubb Insurance Icewine Passport is included with the purchase of an Icewine Evening or Icewine Dinner ticket, but can be purchased separately for $20 Cdn. Your key to the festivities, the Passport enables the holder access to exclusive offers and complimentary events, January 15 - 23, 2005 at 35 participating wineries.
