Abstract:  The Meese Commission Exposed deals specifically with censorship in the United States, but in many ways the pornography/censorship debate is unfolding in similar ways in the U.S. and Canada, although in the U.S. more reference is made to constitutional protections for freedom of speech, which are much weaker in Canada. The booklet consists of statements by 14 speakers who participated in an anti-censorship symposium organized by the (U.S.) National Coalition Against Censorship. Among the speakers were Colleen Dewhurst, Kurt Vonnegut, and Betty Friedan. The booklet concludes with a suggested "10 Ways to Combat Censorship".
