Quick Sources Timeline
Summer 1977. . .
Sources is born as a semi-annual directory issue of
content Magazine, the journal of media critcism published
by Barrie Zwicker from his home.
Summer 1981. . .
After 5 years of steady growth, Sources ougrows its
supplement status and is launched as a publication in its own right.
Summer 1991 . . .
Sources finds ahome in a cozy street-level office
at the corner of St. Nicholas and Phipps streets, nestled in the
heart of downtown Toronto. If you're ever in the neighbourhood drop
by.
Spring 1994. . .
Following in the footsteps of its sister, Parliamentary
Names & Numbers expands in scope and debuts
as a stand-alone publication. It is immediately acclaimed as the
ultimate easy-to-use guide to governments in Canada.
Winter 1995 . . .
Sources finds a new home in cyberspace. All the contacts
from the Sources directory and Parliamentary
Names & Numbers available on the Internet. We've changed
addresses but we're still there at www.sources.com.

Autumn 1996 . . .
Sources continues to explore new ways of linking newsmakers
and the media. The quarterly newsletter, The
Sources HotLink, is launched to help organizations
listed in the Sources directory communicate their
messages most effectively to the media.
Summer 1997 . . .
Sources celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The Future . . .
Sources has big plans for the next few years. In the
works are a media
dirctory. Together with the Sources
directory and Parliamentary Names & Numbers we
think the media directory will complete the perfect public relations
toolkit. Sources connects you to companies and organizations,
government, and now other media. Also in the plans are an expanded
Web presence.
