Technical FAQ

Recommended Web Browser

Our Web site is designed to work with
FireFox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. However, we recommend using FireFox over Internet Explorer. FireFox is small, unobtrusive, and conforms to Internet standards set by international organizations.

We feel that FireFox is less likely to be targeted by the variety of threats on the Internet because it does not support the propriety Web extensions built into Microsoft Internet Explorer. In additon, Internet Explorer's tight integration with the Windows operating system compounds the potential for damage should something go wrong.

FireFox is an open source project developed by the the non-profit Mozilla Foundation. It is available free of charge for Windows, Mac and Linux computers in more than 35 languages. FireFox will run on Windows 95, 98, ME and 2000, so you won't need to update your computer to use it.

If you use a different browser, FireFox is worth a try. Click here to download a version of FireFox that meets your language and operating system needs.
