Machinists sign new Agreement with Cullen Diesel!October 19, 2010Vancouver, BC Machinists at eight Cullen Diesel service locations in British Columbia have ratified a new three-year collective agreement.The agreement provides wage increases of 1 per cent in the first year, 2 per cent in the second year and 2 per cent in the third year. Other agreement high lights include: Field Premium rate increases from $3.11 per hour to $3.46 per hour in March 2011 Five weeks vacation after 18 years Seniority rights between operations at the Surrey Branch All new corporate acquisitions will come under the current collective agreement In spite of the employer opening with an offer of 0 per cent for two years, our bargaining committee held fast and produced a good agreement in the end, said IAMAW District Lodge 250 Directing Business Representative Stan Pickthall. The 151 members work as automotive mechanics at facilities in Campbell River, Nanaimo, Penticton, Kamloops, Cranbrook, Sparwood, Abbotsford and Surrey.
