Rescue Capsule used at the San Jose Chilean mineMarch 17, 2011MEDIA PREVIEWMARCH 30, 2011 Rescue Capsule used at the San Jose Chilean mine on display at the Canada Science and Technology Museum The Canada Science and Technology Museum invites members of the media to a preview of the Rescue Capsule used at the rescue of thirty-three miners at the San Jose Mine in Copiap, Chile. This is a rare opportunity to see the Fenix capsula used in the rescue operations as a testing model and to transport materials down to the trapped Miners at the San Jose Chilean mine. Painted in the colours of Chilean flag - the Phoenix is equipped with oxygen supply and communication equipment. There will also be an opening reception on the evening of March 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. Media are welcome to attend. The Capsule will be on public display at the Canada Science and Technology Museum from March 31 to May 1, 2011.
