Some of the topics covered in the training include: understanding X-ray radiation and its health effects, X-ray imaging and safety surveys, and radiation detection, instrumentation and dosimetry. Details, including course descriptions and registration information can be found on our website at www.radiationsafety.ca. You can also bring the educators at the Radiation Safety Institute of Canada to your workplace! Our two-hour Awareness Education and one-day Employee Training courses are designed to give workers a basic understanding of workplace radiation from nuclear sources, x-rays, radon, electromagnetic fields (EMF) and other forms of radiation, and practical and effective measures on how to reduce exposure in the workplace.
