Emmanuel International Canada is mobilizing as an official drop off point for the Barbuda Relief Recovery
September 14, 2017
We are working with the Consulate of Antigua and Barbuda to collect needed items for the people of Barbuda who have had their homes and belongings destroyed stated," Emmanuel International Canada (EIC) Director Richard McGowan."
EIC is also coordinating with the Moravian Church to provide emergency food and water for families in need. Donations can be made at EIC online at eicanada.org or by phone.
Hurricane Irma ran a path of destruction across the Leeward Islands and Barbuda was the hardest hit. Packing 185-mile-per-hour winds, the storm destroyed homes, snapping trees and killing at least one person.
We are asking people to drop off new items between the hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 10:00am to 12:00noon located at the EIC Canadian Head Office 3967 Stouffville Road Stouffville Ontario.
There is a request for dried and canned food, Baby Food, Baby clothes (new) Toiletries, Soap, Dried & canned milk, Flash lights and Tarpaulins etc.
