Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives

Colonial Building, Military Rd.
St. John's, NL A1C 2C9

The Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives was formed from two parent organizations. The Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archivists (the original ANLA) was established in 1983. That ANLA represented individual archivists and general members; archival institutions were eligible for membership in the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Archives, (NLCA), the organization established primarily for administering grants. ANLA and the NLCA were amalgamated in 1994 to form the current ANLA, the Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Archives.
