8th Hussars Regimental Museum

66 Broad Street
Sussex, NB E4E 5S2

The 8th Hussars Military Museum is located in the historic Intercolonial Railway Station in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada. The Victorian-era structure houses many important artifacts related to the military history of the area and is accessible to the general public during the summer months. Since the later part of the 19th century, countless Hussars arrived at this very train station to train at Camp Sussex and later to serve in the South African War, WWI, and WWII, making the building as much part of the Regiment's story as the artifacts displayed therein.
The museum's collection includes many items representing the life of the Regiment. Some examples include: original uniforms dating back to 1881, original Routine Orders dating back to 1893, memorabilia from members who represented the Regiment at Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, WWI, WWII, UN/NATO peacekeeping tours as well as the Afghanistan engagement, and donations from current Regiment members as they continue to serve locally and around the world.
