Campobello Public Library and Museum

3 Welshpool Street
Campobello Island, NB E5E 1G3

Campobello Library was founded in 1887 by Kate Gannet Wells and Mary Otis Porter, originally from Boston. The library building was built with money raised from private subscriptions and opened in 1898.
The Campobello Island Museum was started in 1971 by a group of islanders concerned about preserving their heritage, and moved into the second room of the library, which was added in 1899, where it remains to date.
